A late 19th century carved wooden serpent staff. Originally made for use in the rituals conducted by an Odd Fellows Lodge as part of their meetings. An exceptional example of folk art, typically the staffs were carved locally by lodge members. This one was found in Pennsylvania but cannot be attributed to a specific lodge. A custom stand is provided with the staff.
