Set of eight Gustavian-style dining chairs dating from the middle of the 19h century. They have an old, but probably not original mellow white surface. Their slip seats are upholstered in a vintage linen striped fabric which is in very good but not pristine condition. The chairs are typical of Gustavian design mixing style of an English shield back with the carved corner blocks of Louis XVI. Seats, 18"H. Found in Stockholm. Minor age wear.
