Gorgeous pair of antique hand painted, luster candle holders. En verso, underglaze mark, Moriyama Mori-machi Japan suggesting fabrication in mid 1920s. Excellent condition; no chips, no cracks, no crazing, with very little wear on gilt edges. Small fabrication flaw (ding) on rim of candle opening.
