A vibrant oil still-life of daffodils and an iris informally arranged in a blue vase standing beside a bowl of fruit. Painted circa 1965 by Virginia Sevier Rogers (American, 1916-2015) and stamped verso with certification of authenticity. A member of the Society of Western Artists, Virginia Rogers studied with Hugh Breckenridge (1934) at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts. For over forty years, she lived and taught art on her farm in Carmel Valley.

A 1986 graduate of Christie's Fine Arts in London, Anthony McNaught headed the fine arts department of a West Coast auction house for three years before opening his own gallery in 1989.
