The lower half of the exterior was left unglazed and porous to allow a natural cooling effect for preserving. Small chips and surface wear.
Antique mid- to late 19th century blue and
gray-white covered ginger jar decorated with a group of children playing in a garden under a tree. No maker's mark. Light wear, scuffs and slightly out-of-round lid.
