A work that is dazzling to the eye and gives off a feeling of vibrant energy. This is a fine print of the original work; it is set in a handsome wood frame. Born in Cuba, the artist and textile designer Lourdes Sanchez began her artistic training with a night class at the School of Visual Arts in New York, while she worked as a receptionist by day. Before moving into watercolors, she designed prints for the fashion industry for nearly twenty years. In her paintings, Sanchez freely draws on imagery from natural, industrial detritus, vintage prints, and ancient tribal patterning. She now divides her time between Brooklyn and Merida in the Yucatan.
