Linda Colletta has been painting and creating art in various media for more than 20 years. She first translated her passion for art into a 15-year professional career as a scenic painter in the music television industry, becoming a well-known and sought-after production designer for some of the biggest names in music today. Wanting a break from the fast-paced, far-traveled industry, she moved to Connecticut to begin a freelance career in visual merchandising and graphic design before diving back into painting full-time. Colletta currently defines her artistic approach as an abstract expressionist. Her work pays homage to nature through the eyes of color; it is an exploration in abstraction and a collaboration between chance and intention. Working in acrylics, oils, and pastels, she creates drips, washes, and gestures that evoke a feeling of freedom and unapologetic happiness. Colletta studied at Parsons School of Design and works from her home studio in Weston, CT.
