A rising star on the Southern art scene, Caroline Wright lives and works in her native city of Austin, TX. Her works hover between landscape and abstraction, with acrylic drips and layered forms that bring an organic, painterly feel to the surfaces. Yet nothing is purely chance; underneath each one is a rhythmic, formal composition. Upon finishing a degree in Visual Art and Art History at Brown, Wright spent several years in an artists' collective on the outskirts of Paris. She is also a cellist and a Kula yoga instructor.
