As described by Le Trianon Gallery

This painting by Dean Holland represents a wonderful celebration of the poppy, the symbol of summer in France. Signed lower right. Born in 1944, Holland has traveled to more than 80 countries and pays careful attention to composition, natural colors, and light. His paintings have been exhibited in both solo and group shows, including Oakland Museum's Collector's Gallery, Berkeley's Hillside Club, and a variety of Bay Area galleries.
