Why We Love This

Collage by artist William Fredericksen (1914-2010). Originally from Norway, Fredericksen studied at the New Bauhaus School at the Chicago Institute of Design in 1946 with such Bauhaus Masters as László Moholy-Nagy and Alexander Archipenko. Fredericksen's strong American Bauhaus roots are evident in his body of work. "Fredericksen's appeal is based half on a rich color sense, half on a highly developed sense of design," according to "Art Digest", 1949. Signed lower right.
