Landscape painting by Maine artist George Wentworth Parker (1890-1962). Bearing inscription dated 1926. Predominantly a landscape painter, Parker worked in oil, watercolor, and etchings. Parker is believed to have received his earliest formal training in art from Theodore C. Steele, William Forsyth, and Clifton Wheeler. He studied briefly at the John Herron Art Institute in Indianapolis.
