Why We Love This

American watercolor of the Van Rensselaer Manor House near Albany, NY, built between 1765 and 1769. It was one of the grandest homes in colonial America. Painted circa 1900. The house was moved to Williams College in Williamstown, MA, in 1895. Signed "W.P." bottom left. Displayed under glass in wood frame. Painting, 18.5"L x 22"W.
