Midcentury ink drawing of a dog with its master by Jennings Tofel (1891-1959), a New York painter who was friendly with Georgia O'Keefe and Alfred Stieglitz, who helped him receive an art grant that allowed him to live and work in Paris in the 1920s. His work is in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Unframed. Signed lower right. Image of dog on reverse. Standard size archival mat.
