Why We Love This

Stunning oil painting by Matthew Kalmenoff (b. 1905) of a Venice-inspired scene of a gondola and revelers in period dress descending to a canal. Circa 1930s. Kalmenoff studied at the Art Students League and exhibited at the Salons of America in New York in the 1930s. Displayed in a gilt wood frame.
