Why We Love This

Red Wing Pottery (1878-1967) began by producing utilitarian items and did not begin an art pottery line until 1929. Under the direction of George Rumrill, they produced a series of RumRill releases from 1932 until 1937. This five-finger bud vase from Rumrill's "Manhattan Group" has a footed base. The white semi-gloss glazed exterior makes a great contrast against the deep ocean-blue interior. The vase is bottom incised "541 RumRill."
