Why We Love This

The Monmouth Pottery Co. (est. 1892) of Monmouth, IL was noted for its utilitarian ware until 1906 when it was purchased by the Western Stoneware Company. Monmouth became the artware division of the new venture producing vases, oil jars and jardinières until the late 1930s. Post-Great Depression, Monmouth once again produced utilitarian ceramics for the home. Early 1930s rosy terracotta footed vase with Art Deco design elements. Unmarked, but well documented in Monmouth resource books.
