Why We Love This

The venture of the Ceramique de Beauce Inc., also known as Beauceware™, became an important part of the great industrial adventure of Beauce County in Quebec. Established in 1939 and operating until 1989, the company established the production of an industrialized utilitarian art: pottery. This early-1970s double vase has a unique crystallized glaze that fragments a deep cobalt blue base into a multitude of colors. The work is embossed on the underside with the logo "cb" and "Canada C-3069."
