Why We Love This

Red Wing Pottery (1878-1967) of Red Wing, Minn. began an art pottery line in 1929. Under the direction of George Rumrill, Red Wing produced a series of Rum Rill releases from 1932 until 1937. This 8.5" fan vase is from Rumrill's "Neo-Classic Group" with their distinctive bead design element. Vases from this group have become hard to find in recent years. This seafoam green example has no crazing but has a few production glaze skips (see photo). The vase is bottom incised "RumRill 668."
