Why We Love This

The Scheurich Greulich Company was founded in 1928 in Bavaria and are well-known for producing a variety of pottery vases which feature unique and colorful glazes. This 9"H vase/ewer has been glazed using a process known as "Fat Lava" where the designer, Heinz Siery, allowed the glaze to run down the vase and break apart into its color components. Vase has four glaze pops or bubbles at the lip of the spout, a normal occurrence for this technique. It is marked in relief "271-22 W. Germany."
