As described by
Dynamic and exciting Bessarabian-style kilim made in Turkey some time around the turn of the 20th century. Possesses many of the qualities most sought after by collectors of such rugs. Lovely little peonies on stems repeat in rows across the deep tan ground.
About the Seller
Jason Nazmiyal, the owner of the Manhattan-based rug company that bears his name, has been buying and selling antique and vintage rugs for three decades. His goal is not merely to find and offer the finest handcrafted rugs—worthy though that goal is—but also to share his knowledge of and passion for the art form. His collection, which ranges from Moroccan runners to Swedish flatweaves to antique Oushaks, shows that he continues to achieve both ambitions.
