As described by J Buchanan Antiques

18th-century Massachusetts (North Shore/Newburyport) mahogany tea table, attributed to the shop of Joseph Short. Short was a prominent Massachusetts cabinetmaker in the mid-18th century. Table features a tilt top with brass catch, full developed feet and a robust shaft. Dates to circa 1765. Original finish has darkened with age. 29" diameter of top, 30" high and 46" tall when top is opened.
