Why We Love This

English Jacobean carved chest from the 18th century. Made of oak and elm. The top has a molded edge attached to the case by original snipe hinges; the chest has foliate carved paneled sides over two side-by-side drawers. Mortise and tenon construction. From the Estate Collection of the late W. Samuel Tarlton (Craig Tarlton Antiques).
