Why We Love This

Stunning pair of antique French Rococo-style open balloon-back walnut side chairs with intricately carved fruit details, late 1800s. The pair have been totally restored, including regluing. Completely rewebbed and repadded with horsehair and cotton and given eight-way hand-tied springs. Seats were upholstered in a silk-embroidered ikat with a slight iridescent shimmer and finished in contrast French gimp and natural tacks. Seat, 19"H.
