Why We Love This

Rare and fabulous black, blue and red map of France, printed in 1963. Two-sided, one side shows Les Contours, the famous hexagon outline of the country. The other side depicts the altitudes, from the fiery reds of the heights of the Alps to the cool blues of the legendary rivers of France. A few light traces of chalk are still visible, traces of every day history from the 20th century.

About Le Trip

Jill Mitchell has been living in France for decades and has amassed a collection of the best sources in Paris and Provence. (She offers vintage shopping tours in the spring and fall.) Now a part of the One King's Lane family, she's delighted to share her French mid-century school posters, a broad selection with many themes, found in the markets of France. New posters will be added weekly.
