As described by
Exquisite Indonesian masks in Lucite shadowboxes. Fierce faces rendered in heavyweight papier mâché hand-painted in vibrantly colored gouache. Dating to the early 1900s, these masks were probably used for ceremonial dance and theater. They have been meticulously framed against black linen and may be wall hung or rest on a tabletop.
