As described by French 50s 60s

Hull of the Liberty crafted by hand by renowned model maker, Ken Gardiner. Burgundy lacquer, mounted to a rectangular, walnut backing. There are two brass plaques in the bottom right corner. One reads "Liberty 1983." The second is an inscription "To the first attorney we ever liked and respected—Pacific Sailing." The artist's signature appears on the lower left corner and his original sticker is still on the back.

French 50s 60s

For the past three decades, Galerie Sommerlath and French 50s 60s owner Michele Sommerlath has been an art and antiques dealer with a specialty in American and European Mid-Century Modern design. Born in France, she spent the early part of her youth in Morocco before moving back to Paris. She credits both countries with informing her taste for design and color. Her approach to curation is intuitive: She buys what she loves. Her current passion is revisiting and refreshing 1980s design.
