Why We Love This

Lithograph of an engraving by H. Fletcher from a painting by Pieter Casteels. Published by Robert Furber of Kensington in 1730 to showcase Furber's seed catalog, the first horticultural book of its time. An engraved plate was made for each month with a floral arrangement in an urn. The individual plants are numbered and listed at the bottom. Marked "Litho for Williamsburg Pottery 1979 by Arthur Kaplan Inc., NY." Image measures 17"L x 12.5"W. Acrylic cover with fiberboard back.
