Why We Love This

Hand-painted bluebirds are distinctive on this one-piece two-tier Nippon serving dish. Marked on base with "Rising Sun Nippon." Nippon was used from 1890 - 1921, after which the country of origin had to be put on each piece for export.

Julia and Bill Bishop have been collecting art and antiques for more than 50 years. In the '90s they showed at the semi-annual Round Top Antiques Show in Texas.
