Hand-painted, artist-signed sardine box with gold rim. This beautiful and hard-to-find piece features a hand-painted scene by H. Barton was made in the T factory of Limoges, France. Depicting a fish diving into the ocean, with a naturalistic background scene of shells, floral and fauna of green, coral, violet and a beautiful blue sky and ocean on a soft white ground. Can be used for sardines or other treasures.
