1940s set of beautifully decorated English cream ware, consisting of six luncheon plates, six cups and six saucers. Each trio set depicts one of six various American birds, with embossed motif of flowers and leaves on the border of plates, saucers and exterior of cups. Marked "Alfred Meakin England" with trademark crown. Dimensions: plates, 1.25"H x 8.75"Dia; saucers, .75"H x 5.5"Dia; cups, 2.25"H x 4.5"W x 3.75"Dia.
