Why We Love This

This unusually large serving bowl is a delicious example of the "en famille" style of Quimper French Faience. From the Paris Flea Market Collection. Since 1690, Quimper's renowned coup de pinceau (stroke of the brush) faience has been hand painted in the Breton style and remains highly collectable. This particular hallmark dates from 1943-1968. Stand not included.

About DNU - Moore About...Design

Whether quirky or elegant, treasures rich with inherent beauty and tales to tell is the hallmark of Moore About Design. African fertility fetishes, European bronzes, and maniacally laughing figures made from kelp vie for attention in a collection that seems curated by a bipolar heiress. Known for marrying objects normally not invited to the same party, designer Dawn Moore is a lifelong collector raised by lifelong collectors and continues to be inspired by travels in her 1959 Corvette.
