Pillow made with hand-embroidered vintage Uzbek suzani. circa 1960s. Made by the mother of a future bride on cotton sateen. Embroidery is executed with colorful silk yarn. Traditionally this was used for the wedding night to decorate the wall behind the place the bride and groom sat. Backed in handwoven cotton. Zipper closure.
