As described by Christopher de Lotbinière's Rare Books

The Scandalmonger by T. H. White. New York: Putnams, 1952. First printing. Following the success of White's earlier The Age of Scandal, this is a second volume of historical research into the peculiarities of the 18th century in England. White uncovers the truth behind the unsavory craze for dueling, the high incidence of lunacy, drunkenness and the pervasive influence of Beau Brummel, and other pleasantries. Spine of jacket has slight end damage, otherwise fine.
