Why We Love This

The Scarlet Letters by Ellery Queen. Boston: Little, Brown, 1953. First Edition. 239 pages. Hardcover with dust jacket. Ellery Queen mystery set in New York City, featuring a marvelous John O’Hara Cosgrave II dust jacket illustration of the Manhattan skyline. Mystery involves the infidelity of a young, rich Broadway producer and the furor of her obsessively jealous husband. This book marked the first appearance of Nikki Porter, Ellery Queen’s Girl Friday.
