    As described by Barbara Farnsworth

The Bridge: A Chapter in the History of Building by Christian Barman, illustrations by Frank Brangwyn. London: John Lane, 1926. Hardcover, 249 pages, with 24 full-page illustrations in color, 22 in black and white. A fine book on the subject, focusing on culture and architecture rather than engineering. Bottom corners slightly rubbed, else fine in green cloth, spine title gilt.

My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
