Why We Love This

The Waldorf-Astoria, A Brief Chronicle of a Unique Institution Now Entering Its Fifth Decade by Henry B. Lent. Privately printed for the hotel in 1934 by the Currier Press, 135 pages, with numerous and evocative black and white photographs of the hotel in the early 1930s. Internally fine in paper on boards with a cream paper spine, just beginning to split at the bottom edge.

About Barbara Farnsworth

My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
