As described by Christopher de Lotbinière's Rare Books

The Blue Danube by Ludwig Bemelmans. New York: The Viking Press, 1945. First printing. A well-preserved copy of this delightful morality tale, set in Austria under the Nazis. It takes a miracle to settle this struggle of good and evil, illustrated with 15 color plates from the author's own hand. Book has illustrated boards, small previous owner's name, otherwise in excellent condition, with wear to jacket edges.
