Why We Love This

Platonis. Seven volumes of a 13-volume set of Plato's philosophy, with Greek and Latin text. Published in 1781-87 in Argentorati, the ancient name for Strasbourg, France. Full vellum bound with brown and burgundy leather spine labels, gold decorations, yellow tinted page edges. Approximately 3,000 pages. In Very Good condition. A rare set of Plato in the original Greek from the 1578 Stephanus edition, considered the best edition, still cited to this day.
