As described by Christopher de Lotbinière's Rare Books

Tropic of Cancer by Henry Miller. London: John Calder, 1963. First UK printing. First appearing in Paris in 1934, this book did not appear in the US until 1961, but was widely unavailable due to the its racy reputation. In this account of being down and out in Paris, Miller succeeds in creating an amoral viewpoint and stream-of-consciousness approach considered radical at the time. Very collectible in this edition. Jacket has slight dirt to back and minor edge wear.
