As described by Christopher de Lotbinière's Rare Books

I'm a Stranger Here Myself by Bill Bryson. New York: Broadway Books, 1999. First printing. "Notes on returning to America after 20 years away" is the subtitle of Bryson's entertaining impressions of the States through the eyes of the British person he seemed to have become. Ironically, a few years after this book, he turned round and went back to live in the UK again. Some affectionate observations about the state of the States from a seasoned onlooker.
