As described by Christopher de Lotbinière's Rare Books

Fernand Léger: Paris - New York by Philippe Buttner et al. Germany: Hatje Cantz, 2008. First printing. This monumental study of Leger consists of essays by curators at the Foundation Beyeler in Basel. With 201 illustrations, 190 in color, many aspects of Léger's work are scrutinized, especially his relationship with American art of the same decades and the similarity of his methods to those of many Pop artists, in particular Robert Rauschenberg and Roy Lichtenstein.
