As described by Christopher de Lotbinière's Rare Books

The Day's Work (1898) and Stalky and Co. (1899) by Rudyard Kipling. New York: Doubleday McClure Co. First printings thus. Two lovely volumes from Kipling's Complete Works, with the distinctive covers featuring a Viking ship and titles in gold. Apart from slight wear on corners, these are in superb condition, with a period book plate in each. Tales of derring-do from the mighty era of the British Empire. God Save Her Majesty!
