Beautiful cover decorated with twining bluebells and gilt title and author. 32 illustrations by an uncredited artist - the only hint is on the cover where the initials BMcM appear on a flower stem. Story is set in Scotland with dialect cropping up from certain characters. 358 crisp, clean, strongly bound pages. A beautifully crafted book with a charming cover.
