As described by
British Country Life in Spring Summer, Fall Winter, two volumes, edited by Edward Thomas. London: Hodder and Stoughton, 1907. First book edition, 239 and 240 pages, with a total of 50 color plates from photographs and watercolors mounted on heavy grey paper, and 89 chapters by a wide variety of nature writers on country subjects. The pair of books, a fine English Art Nouveau production, is bound in lightly rubbed green cloth on boards, with designs in red, deep green and gilt.
About the Seller
My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
