As described by Barbara Farnsworth

For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1940. First edition, second issue, without the publisher's "A" on the copyright page. 471 pages. Endpapers age-browned but otherwise a very good copy in tan cloth stamped in red and black with Hemingway's facsimile signature on the cover, and housed in an intact but chipped second issue dust jacket, now protected in Mylar. Photographer's name beneath Hemingway's portrait.

About the Seller

Barbara Farnsworth

My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
