Why We Love This

Fit for a Queen by Isabelle and Merle Armitage. New York: Duell, Sloan and Pearce, 1958. First printing. Quite apart from the irresistible title, this is a wonderfully preserved period cookbook with classic 1950s illustrations, in good condition. Book has fading to lower corners and jacket is slightly chipped and stained. The Diamond Jubilee may be over, but this is just the right present for your favorite Queen.
