Why We Love This

Part-time Dog by Jane Thayer. New York: William Morrow Co., 1954. Hardcover, issued without dust jacket. Illustrated by Seymour Fleishman. Unpaginated. Later printing 1960s. Brownie, the lost dog finds happiness when three neighbor ladies decide to share ownership of him. Seymour Fleishman was a popular illustrator of more than 80 children's books. Many of his books were, like this one, selections of the Weekly Reader Children's Book Club.
