As described by Christopher de Lotbinière's Rare Books

Midpoint and Other Poems by John Updike. New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1969. First printing. Apart from a former owner's name to first end page, this is a perfect copy of the rare third volume of Updike's scattered poems, bringing together his thoughts on the 1960s and forming a meditation on the midpoint of his career, as he reaches his thirty-fifth year. In fact, he would go on to be crazily productive well beyond his seventieth birthday.
