As described by
Paris Was Yesterday by Janet Flanner. New York: Viking Press, 1972. Later printing. 232 pages of Flanner's brilliant social commentary, written as "Letter from Paris" for The New Yorker from 1925 to 1939, years of compulsively readable gossip and news about Paris by the writer who really knew it all. A fine copy in boards and dust jacket.
About the Seller
My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
