As described by Barbara Farnsworth

Local Style in English Architecture by T.D. Atkinson. London: Batsford, 1947. First Edition, 183 pages, with a color frontispiece and 126 black-and-white illustrations from photographs, as well as numerous drawings, plans, and maps, showing local variations in English buildings and how they got that way. A very fine copy in Batsford's British Art and Building Series, with a particularly fine dust jacket with a wraparound design.

About the Seller

Barbara Farnsworth
Barbara Farnsworth

My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
